About this Event
What Is a 1031 Exchange?
A 1031 Exchange offers real estate investors one of the last great opportunities to build wealth while deferring taxes. This training class provides a clear, practical overview of how a 1031 Like-Kind Exchange works and how it can be used as a powerful tax-deferral strategy when selling investment property.
Participants will learn how, by setting up a 1031 Exchange prior to closing/escrow, a seller may defer capital gains taxes and depreciation recapture that are typically due upon the sale of real estate. To qualify, the seller must purchase a replacement investment property of equal or greater value within the IRS-mandated timelines.
This course is ideal for real estate professionals and investors who want a better understanding of 1031 Exchanges, key requirements, common mistakes, and how to recognize opportunities where a 1031 may benefit their clients.
