About this Event
Let's come together as a team to survey & discuss gender safety & what can make our neighbourhood safer. CoWork and the Cotton Factory, in partnership with the YWCA, are leading a city-wide Gender-Based Safety Audit (GBSA) that invites Hamiltonians to work together to make the city safer for everyone, particularly women and gender-diverse people!
A Gender-Based Safety Audit (GBSA for short) invites community members to identify safe and unsafe physical spaces in the city and recommend ways to improve the unsafe spaces.
Join us in CoWork on October 24 at 7 PM.
We invite all Cotton Factory, CoWork Members, and all community members who live, work, play, and visit Hamilton to join us. Since this is a gender-based safety audit, we mainly focus on gathering the wisdom and experience of women, children, and gender-diverse people.
Dawn Grant, an artist and therapeutic art practitioner, will facilitate the event.
Together, we will build a miniature neighbourhood model and install all the safety features that make us feel safe.
