About this Event
The Alternative Economic and Monetary Systems (AEMS) Summer University invites to its public panel discussion:
The ongoing climate crisis showcases a need for re-evaluating how we organize our society. It’s becoming ever more evident that the strive towards endless economic growth is not feasible on a finite planet. The good news is that there are already many ideas on what a social-ecological transformation could or should look like to enable a good life within the planetary boundaries. But how do we put those into practice? Where can we initiate a transformation and what are the different leverages to achieve it?
The panel discussion offers the opportunity to discuss these questions.
Panelists:
- (writer, university lecturer, initiator of the „Economy for the Common Good“ and the „Cooperative for the Common Good“, Austria)
- (meteorologist and climate researcher)
- (attorney-at-law at law firm Krömer)
- (senior economist at Austrian Institute of Economic Research)
Moderated by Verena Mischitz
