Monday 14th April: 10-11am & 1-2pmThis half term we’ll be joined by the Green Pledge Project from Gloucestershire Archives. This project is exploring various environmental themes and our workshop will be looking at pollution in the local area and thinking about how we can reduce it.
We’ll take inspiration from old photos and other material from Gloucestershire Archives as well as looking round Yate Heritage Centre. We’ll talk about where pollution comes from and what we can do to reduce it. Then we’ll use scrap and recycled materials to a create litter-picking robot or a model of how pollution happens. There will be colouring sheets for younger children too and everyone can make a ‘green pledge’ to say how they will help look after the planet.
Recommended for children aged 7-11. All materials supplied. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
