Day walks in Eastern Taranaki backcountry We have 2 short walks in the Whangamomona area, hosted by us.
1. Is just over 5km easy grade and on private land, you will see a great example of a QEII block and development of a wetland. The walk destination is to an old mill tunnel, where logs were dragged through it, in its hay day. It is fully guided due to being on private land
2. The 1 hour new walk. You will walk around a wetland and see Redwoods up close that are growing in the area - the first 20mins is climbing - track is good grade
Visit to Whangamomona afterwards

Limited to 20 per trip
$75.00 per person for transport from and back to Stratford, guide and morning tea. BYO lunch
($10 of fee is donated to local fundraising by land owner)
