The Whangārei Folk Club is honoured to be invited to perform at the 2026 Auckland Folk Festival as part of the beloved “Trad in the Barn” programme!Join us for a 45-minute set where we’ll showcase the talent, warmth, and musical spirit of our Tai Tokerau community. This is a chance to celebrate traditional folk music and modern interpretations “in the folk tradition,” presented in one of the festival’s most iconic spaces.

This includes all setup, intros, transitions, and getting on/off stage, so we’ll be keeping things tight and polished to honour the flow of the Barn’s continuous programme.
We’re excited to stand alongside Auckland and regional folk clubs, festival guests, and legendary singalongs that make the Barn such a vibrant hub for traditional music.
