Join us at 8:30am on Sunday 18 January (Wellington Anniversary Weekend) for the first edition of the Honest 10 for 2026, taking in Wellington's beautiful waterfront. The Honest 10 is the perfect chance to test your 5km or 10km fitness and maybe have a go at walking or running PB.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME NO MATTER WHAT YOUR LEVEL OF FITNESS. The is an optional 8:15am early start for those who think they might need more time (eg over 70 mins for 10k)
[Note: If there are gales force winds, it is likely we will cancel due to safety reasons. Check back on this FB page at 7am on the morning of the race if the wind is howling as well will post any cancellation by that time. If nothing is here, then the event is going ahead :) ]
Organised by WHAC, the Honest 10 provides a fast, fun and friendly environment. The race course has been officially measured and there will be pacers running 40min, 45min, 50min, 55min and 60min to help you run your best.
Cost: Just $10 for 10km, $5 for 5km!!
How to enter:
1. Pre-register by email (recommended) BEFORE 5PM on Saturday 17 January. Payment methods for pre-registrations include online bank transfer (an email with your reference will be sent back to you) or pay cash on the day.

Where: At the Whale's Tail next to Freyberg Pool, Oriental Bay
When: Registration from 8am. Race starts at 8:30am Sunday morning. Let us know when you register, if you request an early 8.15am start, eg if you are walking the 10km or are likely to run slower than 70mins.
