Rainbow Hub Waikato presents Whaanau Support Drop-in which will be held at Rainbow Hub Waikato, Level 1, 36 Bryce street every Tuesday night during the school term from 4:30pm - 6:30pm.Are you a parent, caregiver, guardian, support worker, or whaanau member supporting a member of the rainbow community? Then our whaanau support drop-in is a space to come along, connect and get support.
For people who are sex, gender, or sexually diverse, exploring their identity can be tricky to navigate and a challenging journey at times. Our goal is to make that a little easier.
We also know the same goes for their whaanau who don’t always know what to say or how to show support. This group is designed to connect with others on the same journey and get some guidance.
Children and young people are welcome, however please note they must be under the supervision of the parent, caregiver, guardian, whaanau member, or support worker that they come with.
So we invite you to drop-in, grab a hot drink and have a chat with our staff and other group attendees. This is an open space where it’s safe to ask questions without judgement or shame.
