WGPR-TV62 50th Anniversary Celebration & Fundraiser
The WGPR-TV62 Historical Society cordially invites you to join us on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the William V. Banks Broadcast Center & Media Center for a distinguished evening commemorating fifty years of broadcasting excellence.
The evening will feature:
- Keynote Address by Detroit Pistons legend and NBA Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas
- An elegant sit-down dinner
- Live musical entertainment
- Presentation of the prestigious 10 Legends of WGPR Awards
Time: 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Tickets: $100 per person
Proceeds from this event will support the preservation and continued legacy of WGPR-TV62, America’s first Black-owned television station. We invite you to be part of this milestone celebration honoring our history and advancing our mission for future generations.
