WEYMOUTH PHOTOWALK @ DRY DOCKTake only photos. Leave only footprints
Every Friday 10am to 1pm.
We aim to unite people with the aim to get social, meet new people, go on organised walks around Weymouth taking photos along the way. Afterwards we will head back to Dry Dock for another round and share our photos with the group.
We will be covering various areas within Weymouth town and extending areas. The walks will start off short and gradually get longer as we venture out. Each week will feature a different area, theme or style to keep things fresh.
The group is open to both the professional, amateur and newbie to photography. Bring your own camera, or smartphone and any cables that you may need. I recommend bringing some snacks or a packed lunch just in case you may need them.
If you're a keen photographer, just curious, or maybe just wanting to walk and talk to socialise, this is the group for you.
We will meet at Dry Dock at 10am to discuss the plan for the day while we grab a drink from the bar and wait for people to turn up. By around 1030-1100 we will set off on our Photowalk and aim to be back in the venue around 1200-1230 where we will have another drink to talk about our trip and to share photos with the group.
Photos taken during the Photowalk can then be emailed in. We will then share them online at a later date, or put them forward to be selected into a future exhibition and have the chance to be included within the in-house art gallery.
The event will be hosted by Peter Lythgoe, one of Weymouth's veteran photographer/videographers and Leigh Henderson the Event & Marketing Manager of Dry Dock and Phone Paparazzi for various local community and music related projects within Dorset and the North East.
