Wet Felted Landscape Workshop with Claire Priestley

This workshop run by felt artist Claire Priestley (member of Network Artists North East and The International Feltmakers Association) is perfect for beginners or those wishing to refine their felting skills. During the day you will work from a favourite landscape or seascape photograph which you will be able to choose and discuss in advance. By the end of the workshop, you will have a finished piece of artwork measuring approx. 50cm x 50cm to take home with you. During the morning you will lay out your picture then in the afternoon wet felt the wool and create detail using needle felting techniques. You will be given full small group tuition and have the opportunity to use a wide variety of wool, fibres, textures and colours to add interest and enhance your work.
All materials, tuition and light refreshments are provided throughout the day. Please bring a medium sized towel and photograph to work from.
The price of the day workshop is £85. There will be an opportunity to order food from the Butty Market outside caterers which is thoroughly recommended! Alternatively please bring a packed lunch.
