The Westwinds Community Band Vancouver’s concert band kicks off its 50th anniversary season with “Honoring Heroes Celebrating Tradition” a free concert honoring veterans at 3 p.m. Nov. 8 at Vancouver Heights United Methodist Church 5702 MacArthur Blvd. Vancouver. This one-hour musical tribute will feature patriotic marches and traditional American music including a medley of songs from seven branches of US service.
