Westlawn Cemetery is the final resting place for about 400 individuals, primarily from the 1700s and 1800s, including early Westford settlers and members of First Parish Church. Notable figures include Colonel John Robinson (1735-1805), Westford’s highest-ranking Revolutionary War officer, who led the Minutemen to the North Bridge on April 19, 1775, and also fought at Bunker Hill. The cemetery also features about 15 other Revolutionary War veterans, recognized with iron Maltese crosses from the Sons of the American Revolution, as well as veterans from the French and Indian War, two from the War of 1812, and nine Civil War soldiers.
