Welcome to Westford Queer Space Fridays weekly event!
Come join us at First Parish Church United any Friday evening for an evening of connection, support, empowerment, and information sharing. This event is a safe space for individuals of all identities to come together, share experiences, and strengthen our community.
This is NOT business as usual. The new administration is both violating and failing to uphold our fundamental rights under the U.S. Constitution and civil rights laws.
Join us to voice your feelings, express your concerns and fears, and access resources that inform you of your rights. Together, we can discuss potential steps toward solutions that uphold democracy and safeguard our freedoms.
Each meeting will have a Parent/Adult Chat location and an adjacent Kiddo/Teen Game Night social space. Youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adult and all attendees must follow community rules (abridged list belowO.
Our meetings provide a safe environment for check-ins and resource sharing. Connecting with others who are navigating similar experiences can be incredibly supportive. While we are not mental health professionals, we are a resourceful community here to uplift one another.
Our facilitator holds a BA in Psychology but is not a mental health provider. They are a trained crisis counselor who has volunteered with The Trevor Project crisis line and currently facilitates PFLAG meetings, offering open listening and support for parents and friends of LGBTQ+ individuals who may be struggling or seeking guidance.

*Community rules: Queer Space emphasizes respace for all individuals, boundaries, and the environment, along with prohibition of harassment, slurs, and misuse of shared items. Key principles include using personal pronouns, avoiding anti-LGBTQ+ language, fostering open communication, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring everyone feels safe to express their identity without fear of judgment.
Show patience as people get used to your name and pronouns, information share in the space is confidential unless otherwise noted, be mindful to support others and their privacy, there is a zero tollerance for bullying, no assumptions except for the best intentions.
