Dear Parade Participant:
This is your confirmation that we have received your 4th of July parade entry form for 2024. You are now registered for the parade. Please arrive at the registration area on July 4th between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 10 a.m. The parade starts at 10:30 a.m. Do not arrive before 9 am, as we need time to allow our volunteers to safely set up without vehicle traffic. Arrivals before 9 am will not be allowed to enter or wait in the roadway.
We have over 100 participants so please read through these instructions to ensure a faster process.
All participants should enter Thompson Road off County Line. Please see the attached map. This map also is your guide to your location for staging. At the completion of the parade, participants may be met at the Westerville South High School parking lot.
Your parade position this year will be indicated by lot color or group. Your lot color or group this year is indicated on your attached map, as well as listed below. Please note the instructions below to make this a great Westerville Independence Day Parade!
Parking for vehicles not in the parade is extremely limited. This year parking at St. Paul will be by permit only.
Your parking permit MUST BE IN YOUR WINDSHIELD UPON ARRIVAL. If you do not have this, you will not be permitted to enter the lot.
You may either print off the permit that was emailed to you, or you may write your permit number clearly in black ink on a white sheet of paper.

There will be an area designated for participant drop-off. There will be a short-term parking lot (15 min) to accommodate drop-offs of participants and supplies to the floats. No vehicles without a permit or parade registration will be allowed in the staging area.
If you have a large group, please communicate these safety and parking rules with the rest of your group. For entries with more than one vehicle, please plan to pre-stage your group together and arrive at registration together.
Please decorate your parade entry in an acceptable 4th of July patriotic theme. You must understand and agree that you are not permitted to throw anything (candy, trinkets, etc.) into the street or crowd. You may, however, walk along the curbs and hand items to the parade watchers. In addition, no water cannons are permitted. Do not stop the parade for more than 15 seconds. This is for the safety of all who are in attendance to watch or participate in the parade.
