This two day intensive is designed for the beginning herbalist or as a refresher for the experienced one. Western Herbalism 101 introduces the basics of Western Herbalism, bioregionalism, herbal nutrition, and herbal preparations. This class introduces the art and science of herbal medicine, from a traditional and clinical perspective. We will explore the medicinal actions of 30 plants, learn basic medicine making practices, and better understand the relationship between plants and people.
This class is a pre-requisite for Foundations of Western Herbalism, the Intermediate Series of our Western Herbalism program.
Class is held at Traditions Herb School’s location at 6340 Central Ave.
The cost of tuition is $300. This includes a textbook and a medicine making experience. Please bring notetaking supplies and a mug to drink the teas you will be tasting.
