This month we will explore the beauty of the color black and learn about sumi-e Japanese ink painting. The Japanese art of sumi-e, charcoal ink painting, explores the infinite range of shades between black and white by dissolving sumi (charcoal) ink with differing amounts of water and by painting with a variety of brushes. Our talented instructor, Rosalba Henao, will guide you step-by-step as you create your own sumi ink masterpiece. Whether you're a seasoned painter or a beginner, this event is suitable for all skill levels. So, don't worry if you've never held a paintbrush before! Immerse yourself in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, surrounded by like-minded individuals. Discover new painting techniques, exchange ideas, and enjoy the company of fellow art lovers.

Parking is free on Weekdays after 6:00 PM and weekends in the Westbury Village parking lot directly across the street from Westbury Arts.
