The next regular Westbourne Woods walk will be on Sunday 14 July, departing the gates of the Royal Canberra Golf Club at 9.30am.The guide will be Carma Sweet.
The theme for the walk is:
“From winter to summer – growing trees in Canberra across the seasons”. Carma has a background in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Science and has a keen interest in urban design and landscape management, particularly ways in which we can integrate
ecological principles and functions into the built environment.
Carma has worked in Urban Treescapes in the ACT Government for the past ten years and currently leads the team responsible for providing guidance on urban design and development proposals that relate to trees on public land.
The walk takes about 2 hours and is a leisurely stroll through the Woods with a knowledgeable guide.

Meet at the gates to Royal Canberra Gold Course in Bentham Street Yarralumla just before 9.30am.
Please wear sensible shoes/clothes and bring a hat. Walkers are welcome to use the Golf Club's facilities afterwards for refreshments but dress rules apply.
Please note that dogs are not allowed to accompany walkers on the Golf Club grounds. Please remember to respect Golfer's needs to be able to play shots without disturbance.
