About this Event
On behalf of the City of Lubbock, the West Texas Salute to Veterans Committee, the American Windmill Museum, and the Texas Veterans Land Board, you are cordially invited to attend our Holiday and Heroes event, celebrating the West Texas Veterans State Cemetery and all the resources available to you!
This FREE event is going to be an action-packed day for the entire family. It is geared toward all military members, past or present, plus spouses, dependents, and more!

- Veterans Resource Fair with some of the best-in-class organizations for residents in the counties surrounding Lubbock!
- Information on the VLB's loan programs (land, home, home improvement, and land auctions), Texas State Veterans Homes (long-term skilled care), and Texas State Veterans Cemeteries
- Claims clinic to help you with your VA claims, PACT Act, and more
- Employers looking to hire
- Free lunch will be provided
- Family fun activities such as a visit with Santa Claus, a hot chocolate station, a coloring station, and more
