Guest Speaker: Rosemary Goudreau O'HaraTopic: Knowing our rights and What the ACLU can do to protect them
Rosemary Goudreau O’Hara retired five years ago as editorial page editor of the South Florida Sun Sentinel. Previously, she was the editorial page editor of The Tampa Tribune. She has served on a number of state and national journalism boards, was a key member of the Sun Sentinel team that won the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service and is a member of the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications’ Hall of Fame. Influence Magazine twice named her one of the most influential people in Florida politics. And on the occasion of her retirement, the Broward County Commission named March 9, 2021, as “Rosemary O’Hara Appreciation Day in Broward County.” In retirement, Rosemary continues to remain involved. She is the president of the Dunedin Newcomers Club, the secretary of the Dunedin Boat Club, a board member of the Dunedin Fine Arts Center’s Sterling Society and a board member of the ACLU of Florida.
