Step back in time and explore the rich local history of Taylor, Michigan with a guided walk through West Mound Cemetery. Join local historians and volunteers as we uncover the stories of some of Taylor’s earliest settlers, war veterans, and notable community members who now rest on it’s historic grounds.
This engaging and informative tour will highlight the cemetery’s origins, changing ownership, unique gravestone symbolism, and the lives of the individuals who helped shape the downriver region. Whether you are history enthusiast, genealogist, or curious local resident, this event offers a chance to connect with the past in a meaningful way.
Event hosted by the Taylor Historical Society & its cemetery committee and partnering with the Taylor High School Drama Club & Jazz Band and the Downriver Community Church.
