A "West Marches" campaign is a collaborative, player-driven Dungeons & Dragons campaign focused on exploring a vast, dangerous wilderness from a central, safe base, like a small town. Key features include a rotating cast of players with multiple characters, self-contained, single-session adventures, and players taking responsibility for mapping and logging information.
