The 2025 Great Tomato Plant Sale will be offered on six days in April and at three areas of Contra Costa County: Central county in Walnut Creek (April 5, 6, 9 & 16), East County in Antioch (April 12), and West County in Richmond (April 19).West Contra Costa County! The Great Tomato Plant Sale (GTPS) will take place on ONE DAY ONLY: Saturday, April 19 at the Richmond Main Library terrace at Richmond Civic Center, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
All plants $4
Forms of payment: cash, check (made out to UC Regents), or bank card (Visa or Mastercard)
All proceeds benefit UC Master Gardener programs throughout Contra Costa County. This is our annual fundraiser!
The Master Gardener volunteers are preparing 75+ varieties of tomatoes plus peppers, eggplants, squash, cucumbers, herbs, leafy greens, and more! A special selection of Asian greens and herbs will also be offered at the West County sale!
The Richmond GTPS will feature tomato and vegetable varieties that are particularly suited to the growing conditions found in West Contra Costa County, as well as throughout the county.
ALL PLANT VARIETIES offered at the GTPS are carefully curated, sown, and cared for by your Contra Costa County Master Gardener volunteers. MANY rare and heirloom varieties will be offered!
