FREE Domestic Violence Awareness Dinner!Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) is observed in October each year to recognize victims and raise awareness about the impact of domestic violence. Domestic violence is a pattern of abusive behavior that can occur in any relationship, and it affects people regardless of race, religion, or culture. Some signs of domestic violence include: Isolation, Low self-esteem, Unexplained injuries, and Depression or anxiety. Annually the West Augustine CRA Steering Committee along with the Betty Griffin Center and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated partner to bring awareness in our community about domestic violence. We hope that you will bring a family member, friend, neighbor, co worker or someone you may not know on Saturday, October 5, 2024. This year we would like to add some fun by having a Purple Hat Fashion Show. We will award 1st,2nd and 3rd place winners for modeling the best Purple Hat!
