It’s time once again for Wendell Wonderland! Join us on Friday, December 6th from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in downtown Wendell for a great night of events including live music, trolley rides, the Wendell United Methodist’s cookie walk, Santa & Mrs. Claus, a craft market, axe throwing, the Lake Myra Light Show, a snow machine, and a Toys for Tots Drive! Every year beginning in November up until the Wendell Wonderland event, the Town hosts a Marine Toys for Tots Drive. The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation coordinates with local social welfare agencies, church groups, and other local community agencies to distribute toys to children in need to help bring the joy of the holidays and send a message of hope to America’s less fortunate children.
Starting mid-November, the Wendell Police Station, Wendell Town Hall, the Eastern Wake Senior Center and the Wendell Community Center will have donation boxes in the lobby where you can donate new, unwrapped toys for kids up to age 12. There will also be two donation locations at the Wendell Wonderland Event on December 6th.
