ABOUT WELSH WOLF

Electric and dynamic, Welsh Wolf has emerged as a must-see Artist in the Los Angeles scene. The current single “Anti-Social Butterfly” doesn’t shy away from its catchy, melodic songwriting and will get stuck in your head the moment you hear it. “Anti-Social Butterfly” signals the coming of Welsh Wolf's debut EP, due out in June 2025. Helmed by singer/songwriter Paul Freeman, Welsh Wolf is a departure from Freeman’s roots as a wildly successful songwriter and performer. Freeman, who is no stranger to big moments, has toured the world and performed with a veritable “who’s who” of pop and rock music: James Blunt, The Who, Chris Cornell, Chris Isaak, Roger Daltrey, and Brandi Carlisle, just to name a few. He’s played guitar on Blunt’s iconic recording of “You’re Beautiful,” written a Top-40 Billboard hit for Sleeping with Sirens, and has written songs covered by Robbie Williams, Meat Loaf, and Mark Owen of Take That. He has landed incredible syncs over the years in films, including "The Break-Up”, as well as hit TV shows "Jessica Jones” and “Insatiable”.

But now, as his alter-ego Welsh Wolf, Freeman is charting a new course. “It felt like I was allowing my true self to be seen,” Freeman explains. “Before, it felt like there was a filter that I didn’t realize was even there. But now, I was finally allowing myself to be myself." After a year of songwriting and experimentation, Welsh Wolf is finally emerging. For those familiar with Freeman’s work, or for those who are about to be, this new chapter will surely not disappoint.

ABOUT ROGER STREET FRIEDMAN

Roger Street Friedman is a critically acclaimed artist who has garnered features, album reviews, and video premieres in esteemed outlets such as Relix, American Songwriter, Goldmine Magazine, Bluegrass Situation, Americana Highways, The Boot, No Depression, Consequence of Sound, American Blues Scene, Americana UK, and Elmore. He is a literate lyricist with an empathic and insightful perspective that reveals the magic in the mundane aspects of everyday living.

Over the past decade, and during four critically acclaimed albums, the modern Americana singer-songwriter has become a prominent voice in addressing issues both societal and personal in ways that recall the leading music lights of the ‘60s and ‘70s. On his new album, Long Shadows, Friedman trains his observant eye on recent and past events, some close to home and others half a world away, and in the tradition of other great storytellers, he focuses on raw emotions – love, anger, dismay, fear, isolation and ultimately, hope – in ways that make his points relatable to any listener.

Roger and his band have opened for Los Lobos and The Blind Boys of Alabama, performed at the Clearwater Folk Festival, Huntington Folk Festival, The Mile of Music Festival in Appleton, Wisconsin, and The Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, and have toured up and down the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, South and Southern California. Roger recently played a number of successful support slots for David Bromberg and his Quintet on a string of dates and recently completed a tour opening for Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams.
