Wellness Workshop

Join award-winning activewear brand, YANA™ Active for a Wellness Workshop in Arthurs, Fenwick. Our workshop will be empowering, educational and provide a relaxing reset.

Enjoy a dynamic yoga practice with YANA Active Brand Ambassador and qualified PT & Forrest Yoga Teacher, Josie Baxter. Forrest Yoga will teach you how to breathe effectively whilst moving through a mindful series of poses to ease the physical and emotional pressures of modern life (suitable for all levels).

Our guest speaker, Dr Fiona Malcomson BSc, MRes, PhD, a Lecturer in Human Nutrition at Newcastle University and will talk about her research in nutrition and in particular the links between lifestyle factors, including diet and physical activity, and cancer, as well as other non-communicable diseases. There will be a Q&A session where you can ask Fiona your questions on nutrition and her research on living a healthier lifestyle.

Following our guest speaker, there will be an opportunity to enjoy tasty bagels and snacks from Newcastle's favourite healthy eatery, The Naked Deli. There will be time to explore YANA Active's latest sustainable activewear collection: The Coffee Edit.

To close out the event, take an immersive journey with a soundbath from James Powles, founder of Circle of Life Holistics. You will be guided down into an hour long session of relaxation driven by both familiar and exotic sounds. The combination of different instruments and the techniques by which they are played, can go so far as to place you in a deeply meditative state.

Each attendee will receive a YANA Active goody bag with treats from other sustainable businesses and refreshments and snacks will be provided throughout.
