As a new year rolls around, so do messages about ways to get thin, fit, and how to work off those holiday treats.What if there's another way to approach wellness?
A way that doesn't shame our bodies, food, or movement. At Wellness Winter Wonderland we will explore just that.
Yoga, fitness, and stretching instructor Sarah Waite will guide a two hour workshop where we will discuss what it means to create realistic, sustainable, and healthy goals for wellness.
Education and resources for movement, locally sourced food, creativity, and nature based activities will be provided.
The workshop will include:
*Meditation (with a hand out on meditation tips and resources to practice at home)
*Education on how to stretch at home (ways to use props, how deep of a stretch to look for, variations for your body, etc.)
*Vision Board making to set intentions for the season (all materials provided)
*Somatic practices
*Discussion and resources on how to find local produce and recipe ideas for year round
*Year round nature based activities
Each participant will leave with physical copies of resources for all of these topics along with their very own vision board.
