Join me for a free Wellness Walk, a wonder around Bethesda with an optional dip in Afon Ogwen. Staring in the car park we will walk though Parc Meurig, along the Afon Ogwen, with the opportunity to stop and have lunch and, if you would like, a refreshing dip in the river. We will continue through Braichmelyn forest, to Cilfodan, taking in views of Penrhyn Quarry then returning to the car park.
The distance is 5km (3 miles) with a total of 175m elevation gain – expect some uphill sections but lots of flat sections. Two hours of walking plus time for swimming/dipping in the river, which occurs in the middle of the walk. We will be back at the car park by 4pm at the latest.
