Wellness Saturdays For Parents and Educators presented by The Aster Initiative

Come join us for a rejuvenating experience tailored for parents and educators! Our Wellness Saturdays are designed to help you unwind, recharge, and connect with like-minded individuals. Take part in relaxing activities, insightful workshops, and enjoy a day dedicated to self-care and personal growth. Don't miss this opportunity to invest in your well-being!

This is event is free to attend. We will kindly accept suggested donations if you can give.

The day includes:

Art Therapy with Shanice Figeroux (10am)

A community-focused muralist and public artist with 7+ years of experience creating vibrant, large-scale artwork and facilitating inclusive art therapy workshops. Passionate about using art as a catalyst for healing, connection, and positive change, particularly within underserved communities. Proven ability to collaborate with diverse organizations, businesses, and volunteers to execute impactful public art projects and community events.

Yoga with Lisa Robertson (1:15pm)

Lisa Robertson is the founder of I Am Yogi Studios, the first Black-owned hot yoga studio in Queens, NY. A dedicated wellness advocate, entrepreneur, and mother of three, Lisa has created a community-focused space that blends traditional yoga with cultural inclusivity, making wellness accessible to all. With a background in psychology, finance, and retail, she takes a holistic approach to empowering individuals to prioritize their physical, mental, and emotional health. Her work has been recognized by local leaders, and she continues to expand her impact through government contracts, corporate wellness partnerships, and community-based initiatives.
