9:30am-10am: Guided Meditation with Brigette
Join us for our first session of the morning with Brigette Friend of Holistic Rhythms Wellness and Sleep Center. Our first session of the morning is guided meditation aimed at calming your mind and bringing you focus. This session will set the tone for the morning as we connect with our bodies and nature. Brigette has a certificate of meditation through ALLEGRA Learning Solutions, LLC and has close to 20 years of
experience in the healthcare field.
10am-11 am: Yoga with AllyBee Yoga
Join Allison of AllyBee Yoga for a relaxing morning yoga session. The morning yoga session is designed to engage your mind, body, and breath in harmonious alignment. Through specific poses, controlled breathing, and mental focus, yoga helps activate your parasympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for initiating relaxation and reducing stress hormones in the body. This session is appropriate for all levels.
11am-12n: Sound Bath with Katrina
Join Katrina Knotts for a relaxing 45 min sound bath by the picturesque Buffalo Run stream. Katrina is a Reiki Master of 7 years who uses crystal singing bowls to aid clients in releasing stagnant energy from their auric field. Sound baths relax the body, calm the mind, and ignite inner awareness. During a sound bath, participants relax comfortably, usually lying on their back. For best results, they listen and stay present with the sounds and what they feel and experience. People get much more out of the sound bath if they remain present with the experience. For those who tend to fall asleep, with practice, it gets easier to stay present.
Experiences vary – sometimes people feel physical sensations, other times more emotions. Some listeners see colors, shapes, or images, which becomes like a waking dream. Sound baths can activate the higher mind, and many people receive creative insights or work out issues they couldn’t solve in their “normal” state. Generally, a deep state of relaxation of the body and mind is achieved, and most people look and feel brighter and more relaxed after a sound bath.

12n: Lunch* by Functional Nutrition Counselor Alea McClintock-Donahue
Alea (farmer, nurse practitioner, holistic health practitioner, herbalist and functional nutritional counselor) will be preparing a light lunch using locally sourced produce and foods. This will be vegetable based and aimed at keeping you feeling light and energized to promote focus and creativity as we transition into our uplifting afternoon sessions. Lunch menu will be crafted closer to the date as we determine what locally sourced foods are available at the time of the retreat, but will most likely be a soup and salad combination. *Please notify us of any food limitations, allergies, or sensitivities at the time of registration.

1pm-2pm: Crystal Jewelry Making Workshop with Katrina ($20)
Katrina will give an introduction into crystals and the properties of each stone. She will then help guide you in assembling your custom crystal bracelet that aligns with the needs of your mind and body. This session will be fun and promote creativity, while still helping to support the needs of your mind and body.
2:00pm- 4pm: Herbal Tea Blending Workshop with Alea
In this educational and interactive worship, you will learn about a selection of herbs and create your own custom herbal tea blend to support your healthy lifestyle and your wellness focus. In a relaxing and creative environment, you will learn, blend and sip. This is designed to promote learning, creativity, and help support the needs of your body and mind.
Prior to making your own custom herbal tea blend, Alea will provide you with an introduction to herbal tea and tea blending techniques. During this workshop we will be working with a variety of 10 herbs. A description of each herb, wellness benefits, healing properties, uses of each herb, and any contraindications will be discussed. We will also discuss flavor profiles of each herb and common herb pairings to help you design your own tea blend.
After this introduction to the herbs and blending techniques, you will make your own custom herbal tea blend! You can choose from a variety of 10 herbs to make a blend that suits your wellness goals and taste preferences. Alea will help guide you in the blending process, and you will be given the opportunity to taste test and refine your blend. We will sip our herbal tea together and you can take the remainder of your blend home in loose form or tea bags will be provided.
