Petone's seaside art & gift gallery will host an art exhibition of Wellington’s rich maritime sail history including Pamir, Bolton, Huia, Echo & settler shipsThe exhibition will feature oil paintings and prints by guest artist, Paul Deacon from Nelson.
Paul is a world renown marine artist particularly well known for his skill and knowledge of sailing ships and has especially painted some magnificent new paintings for this exhibition. Included will be paintings of some of Wellington’s favourite sailing ships as well as a selection of first settler ships and later immigrant ships.
Gallery owner, Alfred Memelink, will also exhibit a selection of watercolours and prints alongside Paul's masterpieces.
Gallery Opening Hours during the festival are Tuesday to Sunday 10.30am - 4pm
