Wellington Handball - Beach committee is putting together an end of year, welcome to summer social tournament.
The tournament will operate on the Sunday, 17th of December. First game begins at 10:00am, and the final will be played at 3:00pm. Could be later depending on time.
All teams will be a social mixed tournament, where teams will be split between begginers and experience. You can request to play with someone or specific friends also.
Note: We will only be taking college years, and above. (14+)
Two weeks prior to the tournament, you will receive an update of your team, and the chosen captain. They will then make your team name, and sort out your team costume.
Prizes to be won on the day for most creative. Given it is Christmas time.... try and think outside the box!
We will be having a BBQ/food stall operating in funding support of our Welly Beach handballers, and their high performance programme with funds contributing to their future with the sport.
The cost of this will be $10.00 per person, and will be collected prior to the tournament. You may pay into the below account - or bring cash on the day.
This is open to all friends, family, and our local community to come and try out the sport for the day. Enjoy the sunshine, and the good tunes!
Prizes will be given out for:
- MVP of the tournament
- Best team spirit
- Winning team of the tournament
- tournament shooting star - given to a developing/new beggining player.
