We will host five rounds of loose-link opp-flex American Parliamentary case debate, followed by a break of a to-be-determined size depending on the number of participants.
Anyone who self-identifies as a Gender Minority (“GM”) is welcome to debate. WDS will not regulate registration in any capacity and registration will be based on an honor system (as noted in Section 5.09d of the by-laws). Anyone, regardless of gender identity, is welcome to judge.

Payment Proof Submission is due 11:59 pm, December 3rd.
We are PAY-to-PLAY, in that we will require that everyone submit either payment proof or proof that registration payment is currently being processed in order to compete. This will be strictly enforced. We will also be enforcing an $80 fee for last-minute drops (less than 48 hours before the beginning of the tournament).
Due to the limited number of rooms available, we have a soft cap of 40 teams.

JUDGING—bring 6 or 7? And uncs?
We have a judging requirement of (n-1)/2, rounded up. There will be a $75 fee per missing judge. Judges must be available for at least 3 in-rounds to count. Only varsities and dinos will count towards the judging requirement. Although, you are welcome to bring novices to judge. We will not hesitate to break up teams in the instance that the judging requirement is not met.
We are also requiring that all judges submit their paradigms to us. Judges must submit their paradigms to us or already have their paradigms on the APDA website to count towards the judging requirement. We highly encourage all judges to submit to the APDA paradigm project (https://bit.ly/submit-apda-paradigm).
Our link to submit paradigms is here: https://forms.gle/RiQc5aq6zUETK7Sq8

HOUSING—what bedroom are you sleeping in the hardest?
We will have VERY VERY VERY LIMITED CRASH HOUSING. We ask that if you need crash housing, please fill out the housing form by Thursday, November 27th. We will try our absolute best to accommodate everyone, but in the event that we are unable to, we will let you know as soon as we can so that there is time to make alternate arrangements. We highly recommend that everyone get hotels if possible. However, there are almost no hotels in Wellesley. We recommend getting hotels in Waltham, Natick, Newton, or Framingham.

LOCATION—call John Pork
GA will be in the Pendleton Hall East Atrium on both Friday and Saturday. All rounds will happen in Pendleton Hall East and Founders Hall. All food will also be served in GA.
If you cannot find GA, message or call Emma, Hanna, or Sruthi so they can give you directions (or find you if it’s dire). The location is linked on this event post, but you should also be able to put it into Google Maps.

PARKING—all roads lead to rome
Wellesley can be accessed via the Commuter Rail (Framingham/Worcester Line, Wellesley Square stop). The station is about a 15 minute walk from GA.
Do not park your vehicle in the parking garage or visitor lot. Tournament guests are REQUIRED to park in the Founders Lot. There’s a lot of sidewalk parking on Central Street next to campus. In addition, there is a parking lot behind the fire station across the road from the Child Study Center on Weston Rd. Please contact Emma or Hanna if you have questions about directions.

AI USE—this is NOT a AI
All use of generative AI and all other external resources, despite our tournament theme, are strictly banned. If you are suspected of using generative AI or external resources, tab staff has the right to investigate and make the final determination on whether or not AI has been used. Teams that use AI or other outside resources will be auto-dropped and given speaks of 0 and ranks of 7.

NOTE ABOUT DRUGS/ALCOHOL—no lean please
*IMPORTANT* Wellesley does not tolerate any alcohol or drugs in indoor common spaces (ex. common rooms) and to bring/use these substances in these common spaces violates the Wellesley College Honor Code, putting yourself at risk for being banned from campus. This is partially why we do not host a social. We ask that you respect this policy too as a violation may prevent us from hosting a tournament next year. Therefore, if any Wellesley Debate Society member notices a participant or judge using these substances in common spaces, that individual will be banned from participating in subsequent rounds and your school will be banned from registering for the next Wellesley tournament.
