About the Instructor

Caitrin McKee received her yoga teacher certification in 2021 from Yoga District in Washington, DC. In 2023, she completed an additional 300-hour teacher training (at Beloved Yoga in Reston, VA) that focused on the therapeutic application of yoga and a trauma-sensitive teaching methodology. Caitrin has led mindfulness, meditation and therapeutic yoga groups and workshops and she also works one-on-one with individuals via appointment through the F.L. Wolters Group. Her goal is to make the benefits of yoga tools accessible to all. Caitrin is currently working towards her Yoga Therapist certification through the Svastha Yoga Therapy Program. What you will be doing

Do you experience a lot of stress in your life? Do you spend most of your day sitting? These can fuel body tension and an anxious mind - but therapeutic yoga can help! While not everybody thinks yoga is for them, this workshop is for every body. Caitrin will offer beginner-friendly, accessible chair yoga options alongside standing options for those with prior yoga experience. Participants in this workshop will learn what therapeutic yoga is and experience a practice full of gentle, mindful movement as well as breathwork, simple meditative practices and opportunities for self-reflection to help build more self-compassion. Yoga mats are encouraged but not required.
