About this Event
Did you know that Green Park is 195 acres of wetland, wildlife and an abundance of nature?
Our 3km route will show you some of the highlights of this fantastic green space including the footpaths surrounding Longwater lake, with bird hides, bat boxes, bug hotels and bee hives.
We can enjoy the variety of trees, plants and wildflowers that thrive in this wonderful setting as we walk over to south lake towards Green Park train station and Green Park Village the beautifully colourful, residential area with lakeside setting.
The walk is 45-50 minutes from 12.30 to 1.15 pm. We will start at the reception area of 100 Longwater Avenue. There is free parking on the top level of the car park at 100 Longwater.
This Walk Works event is sponsored by the Events Team at Green Park. They are delighted to be supporting Reading Climate Action Festival and are proud of their biodiversity status and environmental focus.
PLEASE NOTE: Walking hosts Walk Works require all attendees to fill out our waiver for insurance purposes.
