About this Event
As winter casts its peaceful spell, celebrate the change in season with Welcoming Winter at Albion Hills Conservation Park. Get outside and active by joining us on a guided hike or for a fat bike tutorial. Kids and adults alike can take part in creating a natural bird feeder, exploring nature stations and don’t forget to warm up by the fire. Please note this event takes place outdoors, come dressed for the weather.

Solstice Storytelling:
Join us by the fire for stories of the season and marshmallows!
Time: 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30am, 1:30pm
Learn to Fat Bike:
Learn the basics of Fat Biking through skill building activities and games! For those more experienced, may also include a trail ride.
Time: 10:30am, 11:30am, 1:00pm
Guided Hikes:
Winter Birds- 10:30am
Learn about the wintering habits of birds, local species and key identification features of our feathered friends.
Forest Discovery- Family Friendly: 11:30pm
The season of the sticks has lots to look for in the forest! Come discover some fascinating forest features as it transitions to winter.
Animal Tracking – Family Friendly: 12:30pm
Who’s been here? Learn about tracking animals in all seasons and search for signs and footprints of our natural neighbours.
Drop-in Activities (10:00am-2:00pm)
There will be so much to explore inside and out, learn, discover and play with us at our drop-in activities.
