Indigenous Student Centre Elder-in-Residence, Carl Stone, will open the year with a Pipe Ceremony.A pipe ceremony is a sacred ceremony. Sacred medicines from the earth are used to smoke a Sacred Pipe to ask that blessings be brought for the ceremony and all those who attend. The purpose of this ceremony is to open the academic year in a sacred and meaningful way and to remind us that culture is foundational to learning and well-being.
Vanessa Lillie will lead a Water and Berry Ceremony.
Everyone is welcome.
