Find your creative flow and unwind with Zentangle at University Art in Redwood City!
The Zentangle Method® is a relaxing and easy way to make beautiful art while developing focus, creativity, and mindfulness. In this beginner-friendly class, you will be introduced to the philosophy and method behind Zentangle in a relaxed, welcoming space.
With simple lines and shapes, you'll draw stunning patterns while experiencing a mindful, meditative process. Whether you’re new to art, looking to spark creativity, reduce stress, or explore a new style, this is the perfect opportunity to discover the world of Zentangle. If you’re an experienced artist, Zentangle also serves as a great way to warm up and get into a creative flow state.
What to Expect:
- Learn how to draw structured patterns (called tangles) step by step
- Develop a relaxed focus, placing attention on each stroke without planning ahead
- Enjoy a meditative, creative experience in a supportive environment

I have been practicing mindfulness since 2007 and became certified to teach Zentangle in 2017. I first discovered Zentangle in 2015 when I stumbled upon a book about mindful drawing. At the time, I had no drawing experience or artistic background, but I quickly found that Zentangle boosted my confidence, improved my creativity, and became a fun way to unwind.
