Through behind-the-scenes access to some of the world's top musicians and performers working in Yiddish, "Welcome to Yiddishland" offers an upbeat and timely exploration of a global community of artists rediscovering and revitalizing Yiddish culture. Full of joyous music and performances, the film also reframes audiences’ understanding of Jewish culture and identity. "Welcome to Yiddishland" will screen with the short film "The Stage is Ours."The local klezmer band the Meshugga Daddies will perform Yiddish songs before the 2 p.m. screening, starting around 1:30 p.m.
