Immerse yourself in a journey through decades of Dancehall, to current up-to-di time bangers. Find your groove amongst dancers bringing the fire to the dance floor, moving in unity and flexing their skillz in the dance circle. Bring your flavour and rub shoulders with the fashionista's rockin the most extraordinary outfits, sipping their spiced rum and posing for the camera light. And be welcomed with open arms as Burncity’s Dancehall community get ready to WUL A VIBE and make Everything Nice!
‘Welcome to the Jungle’ is an opportunity for Melbournians to experience the closest thing this side of the globe to all the flavors, fashion, fancy foot work and fire created in the street parties of Kingston, for one special night only brought to you by Jungle City projects and Cool Runningz as part of the 2024 Melbourne Fringe Festival.
‘Welcome to the Jungle’ takes place on Thursday 3rd October 9:30pm – 1:00am at Trades Hall’s Commons Room.
The evening will showcase our own local Dancehall talent including Selectors, Dancers, and Deejay’s by the likes of Chuby Dice (JA), Burncity Queenz, JC Collective, and DJ’ Daphne, Amadeus, and Outsider.
