Come and learn Balboa, a smooth Jazz Age partnered dance that originated in its namesake Balboa Beach in California!These friendly classes with Nathalie and Chris will get you dancing to some great swing jazz, whether you’re completely new or want to refresh your basics!
Our one hour class starts at 8pm, so arrive a little early to get checked in and ready, there will be time afterwards to keep practising socially, or join us on the weeks when we head over to some social dancing at Te Rimutahi a stone’s throw away, we’ll add more details as we go along.
$15 per class, or save a little and pay $50 for the whole block, payable at the venue before class.
Bring some water, comfy shoes (ideally leather soles to make the most of the beautiful floor!), and you’ll be dancing in no time!
Classes will be held at the Johnny Mitchell Hall, Ponsonby Community Centre, there is street parking in the surrounding area or bus stops close by.
