Peter began his 5,000 mile canoe journey on the shores of Escanaba, Michigan on June 27th, 2024, and will complete his loop on the exact same beach. All community welcome to join us celebrating his accomplishment at the Escanaba Country Club, on Saturday, October 11th from 2-7pm with an interactive Q & A. Chili bar will be served and bar will be open for this informal event. 🛶

Peter will be the youngest recorded person to solo The Great Loop in any vessel and he did it in a canoe by age 24. He will also be the 7th documented person to paddle The Great Loop. More than 2,000 miles of his journey was against the current, where he traveled upstream from the Gulf to the Great Lakes, so we are excited to have Peter back in his hometown after 15 months alone navigating America’s waterways, and to welcome our Escanaba community and surrounding area to just stop in for a few minutes or stay and celebrate!
