WELCOME HOME JON SANDERSCelebrate Jon’s 11th solo circumnavigation on Sunday the 31st of January in Fremantle!
Fremantle Sailing Club and Royal Perth Yacht Club are proud to host the event to welcome Jon home after a long and challenging time sailing around the world to raise awareness of plastic pollution in the ocean, in partnership with Minderoo Foundation.
PROGRAM OF EVENTS
APPROXIMATE TIMINGS (SUBJECT TO CHANGE)
1.30 PM – Jon expects to cross the finish line (estimated coordinates 32° 2.593’S – 155° 42.690’E, approximately 1 nautical mile west of North Mole).
2.30PM – Jon arrives in Fremantle Port to perform a lap of honour
3.30PM – Jon expected to arrive at Fremantle Sailing Club VIP Jetty
4.00PM – Offical ‘Welcome Home’ ceremony will commence on the VIP Lawn.
There will also be live music entertainment and food stalls on the Sunset Deck from 3-6PM.
