All babies 0–24 months old are invited to participate in a Welcome Ceremony.Hosted by the Dja Dja Wurrung Traditional Owners for babies
born on Dja Dja Wurrung Country.
The Welcome Baby to Country Ceremony is to honour and acknowledge an infant’s connection to the lands on which they are born. Babies will be provided with a certificate and other cultural gifts.

In our ongoing partnership, DJAARA and Bendigo Health have welcomed over 500 babies to Dja Dja Wurrung Country since 2019. This gathering continues to share Dja Dja Wurrung’s cultural practices with the broader community of Bendigo.
