Zum Jahresbeginn 2026 richtet sich der Blick erneut nach Jamaika, wo viele Menschen nach den verheerenden Auswirkungen des Hurrikans Melissa weiterhin dringend Unterstützung benötigen. Trotz weltweiter Solidarität ist die Lage in zahlreichen Regionen noch immer kritisch: Viele Familien haben ihr Zuhause verloren, die Infrastruktur ist stark beschädigt, und der Wiederaufbau erfordert langfristige Hilfe.
Um einen Beitrag zur Entlastung der Betroffenen zu leisten, präsentieren SUGAR & SPICE und CBE das Benefizevent “WELCOME 2026 – Hurricane Melissa Relief Fundraiser”. Die Veranstaltung vereint Künstlerinnen und Künstler aus Reggae, Dancehall und verwandten Genres, die sich gemeinsam für den Wiederaufbau und humanitäre Hilfe einsetzen.
Auf dem Main Floor sorgen unter anderem Culture Rock, Damion BG Dancerz, D-One, DJ Adirock, DJ Densen, DJ Offbeat, DJ YD, Junior Lion, Romana und Top Gyal für musikalische Highlights. Das Live-Programm umfasst Auftritte von Birch K-West, Elevate674, Inti Ayvar Waltz, Omar Jatta und Wunso. Auf dem Second Floor übernimmt Warn Selecta und liefert zusätzlichen musikalischen Support.

Sämtliche Einnahmen fließen in Hilfsprojekte zur Unterstützung der vom Hurrikan betroffenen Familien und Gemeinden auf Jamaika.
Mit “Welcome 2026” soll das neue Jahr nicht nur musikalisch begrüßt werden – es ist zugleich ein starkes Zeichen der Solidarität und Hoffnung für Menschen, die dringend Hilfe benötigen.

As we enter the year 2026, the situation in Jamaica remains deeply challenging. In the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa, many communities continue to face destruction, displacement, and a slow recovery process. Thousands are still without stable housing, and essential infrastructure is in urgent need of rebuilding. The new year begins under the shadow of ongoing hardship - and the call for international support remains as important as ever.
In response, SUGAR & SPICE and CBE proudly present “WELCOME 2026 – Hurricane Melissa Relief Fundraiser”, a charity event dedicated to supporting the people of Jamaica. Bringing together a diverse lineup from the worlds of reggae, dancehall, and related genres, the fundraiser aims to raise vital funds for long-term recovery and humanitarian aid.
The Main Floor will feature performances by Culture Rock, Damion BG Dancerz, D-One, DJ Adirock, DJ Densen, DJ Offbeat, DJ YD, Junior Lion, Romana, and Top Gyal. The Live Stage includes appearances by Birch K-West, Elevate674, Inti Ayvar Waltz, Omar Jatta, and Wunso. On the Second Floor, Warn Selecta will provide additional musical energy throughout the night.
