CYLC is holding an information meeting for members of the Weipa Peninsula People Native Title Group in relation to the Cape York United #1 Claim.

Time: 9:30am – 3:30pm
Place: Rydges Esplanade Resort Cairns (lunch provided)
MEETING PURPOSE:
CYLC will be facilitating a meeting of all groups which make up the Weipa Peninsula People Native Title Group. This includes the Algnith, Anathyngyath, Mbwoiwum, Peppan, Yinwum and Wathayn Traditional Owner Groups. The purpose of this meeting is to provide an update on the progress of the area associated with the Weipa Peninsula People (as shown on the map in the discussion section) to a native title determination in July 2023. CYLC will discuss the Weipa Peninsula People Group Description and native title boundary.
Note that this area does not include the Moreton Telegraph Station.
