About this Event
Please join us for an intimate guided tour of Weimar-era prints and drawings in the collection of the Art Institute of Chicago. The visit will be led by art historian Annie Bourneuf, Professor of Art History, Theory and Criticism at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and the author of (2015) and (2022).
This event, which is free and open to the public, is taking place in conjunction with the Brooklyn Institute for Social Research's April 2024 course 'The Weimar Republic: Politics, Culture, and Catastrophe,' which will take place both online and, in a separate section, in-person at Goethe-Institut Chicago.
Beginning at 2:45 pm, we will meet inside the Northern entrance to the Art Institute of Chicago (the entrance to the Modern Wing, located at 159 E. Monroe St.). At 3:00 pm, we will walk over as a group to the Prints and Drawings Study Room.
Please note that this tour will be capped at twenty visitors. If you register but are unable to attend, please cancel your ticket at least 48 hours in advance so that others may be able participate.
