About this Event
There will be 2 events;
1) Power Push Classic (Dips)
2) Power Squat Classic
1) Power Push Classic Dips is a single elimination event. Two athletes in the same weight class will use a dip belt to load 45lbs in the first round. Athlete number 1 must complete as many reps with 45 lbs that they think will be enough to beat athlete number 2. They will have 2 minutes to complete all reps without testing off of the dip bar. Athlete number 2 must complete 1 more rep than athlete number 1. No ties.
2) Power Squat Classic is a single elimination event. Two athletes in the same weight class will use a KensuI vest to load 45lbs in the first round. Athlete number 1 must complete as many reps with 45 lbs that they think will be enough to beat athlete number 2. They will have 2 minutes to complete all reps without resting longer than 3 seconds. Athlete number 2 must complete 1 more rep than athlete number 1. No ties.
Men's
The minimum reps with 45 lbs is 10
The minimum reps with 90 lbs is 5
The minimum reps with 135 lbs is 3
Women's
The minimum reps with 25 lbs is 10
The minimum reps with 50 lbs is 5
The minimum reps with 75 lbs is 3
Male Weight Classes
1. Lightweight
- Weight Limit: Up to 70 kg (154 lb)
2. Middleweight
- Weight Limit: Over 70 kg and up to 90 kg (154 lb - 198 lb)
3. Heavyweight
- Weight Limit: Over 90 kg and up to 110 kg (198 lb - 242 lb)
4. Super Heavyweight
- Weight Limit: Over 110 kg (242 lb and above)
Female Weight Classes
1. Lightweight
- Weight Limit: Up to 55 kg (121 lb)
2. Middleweight
- Weight Limit: Over 55 kg and up to 70 kg (121 lb - 154 lb)
3. Heavyweight
- Weight Limit: Over 70 kg and up to 85 kg (154 lb - 187 lb)
4. Super Heavyweight
- Weight Limit: Over 85 kg (187 lb and above)
