Weenfest is a celebration of all things spooky in the guise of a gig - bands, costumes, puns, workshops, and whatever else you can jam in!
About this Event

Update on this:

Amersham Arms are currently focused on programming events up to the new year, so I won't have a new date for this until December or January.

With this in mind, I'm changing the date of this event to 1/1/21 (so that tickets don't expire) - I should have a new date by then, and you are of course, as before, welcome to apply for a refund via the platform if you would rather your ticket did not carry over.

I'm gunning for a Saturday in late Feb/early March. Sorry that this can't be more clear right now, as soon as I have a date I'll let y'all know.

WEENFEST IS BACK FOR YEAR 2.

We’re hoping to take over the Amersham Arms on Halloween - but please bear in mind that we’re obviously operating subject to restrictions and want everyone to be safe, so if you’ve bought a ticket and the event is postponed, your ticket will remain valid for when it does take place (if not October, we're thinking maybe Halloween on Christmas...or Halloween on Easter?)

This year, Weenfest is funded by WIRED4MUSIC.

So let's eat, drink, and be scary, yeah?

Our amazing acts this year:

GUTTS

An angry queer sax punk band from London. They love glitter, rainbows and winning fights with men who've tried to grope them. They sing about cultural appropriation, domestic violence, trash dads, White Feminism, tone policing, biphobia and more. Check them out: http://guttsband.bandcamp.com

Breakup Haircut

Actually Mystery Inc, but with instruments. A ragtag team solving mysteries and playing spooky and/or angsty punk. Music here: http://breakuphaircut.bandcamp.com

Whitelands

Whitelands is a project and band of 18-year-old Etienne that began in his school lunchtimes during sixth form. Now a duo, they make bedroom indiepop and shoegaze ballads. Check them: http://whitelands.bandcamp.com

Skin and Blister

Skin and Blister is a London-based girl band, 4 teenagers who met at Girls Rock London! who are now putting their mark on the punk rock scene. Link:

We're also having a couple of workshops alongside all these beautiful acts!

1. Choose your own scare - a crowd-determined choose your adventure full of Halloween fun. Expect cheer-o-meters. Will and Scott pulled this off last year and lemme tell ya, they cleaned house.

2. How to shoot a horror film on your smartphone - a smaller workshop teaching you what you can do with just your phone and a couple of apps. Will take place upstairs; first come first serve.

Timetable to come!
